I think we may have caught the conference bug. For the last few weeks, it’s been go-go-go for us here at Gazaro!

But when you take into account our big BETA release is coming up fast it makes sense (have you signed up for an invite yet?) :D

We participated in VentureDemo on Wednesday at the 12th annual Ottawa Venture and Technology Summit (OVTS) which attracts investors from all over, including Canada, the U.S. and Israel.

The 12th annual Ottawa Venture & Technology Summit was held at the Chateau Laurier this year.

The 12th annual Ottawa Venture & Technology Summit was held at the Chateau Laurier this year.

Actually, to be more accurate, we were selected to participate in VentureDemo, along with seven other companies (in case you want to check them out, they are: AudioPod, CakeMail, Mercury Grove, Ocorant, Spartan Bioscience, Wise Eyes and Youi Labs).

According to the OCRI, over fifty percent of all VC deals done in Ottawa over the past two years have been awarded to OVTS participants. So it isn’t hard to see why it has been labeled as one of the top events for the tech and VC communities.

Put on by the Ottawa Centre for Research and innovation (OCRI), the OVTS provides a bridge between small/mid-sized companies and investors. It’s a great forum in which to present business cases and products because the event attracts both investors and companies who share similar interests and goals. Essentially, it’s a huge time saver for everyone involved. Which I’m sure everyone appreciates, since we’re all very busy people! :)

It’s also a great opportunity to meet some new people from the Ottawa area and abroad.

Did you attend this event? Or have you been to past OVTS events? As always, let us know what you thought!
